The purpose of this position is to manage most aspects of branch operations with some assistance from the Retail Team Leader and/or Branch Administration. This position is accountable for the financial performance of the branch, customer satisfaction, branch policies, and procedures. This position also ensures adherence to all bank policies, objectives, and practices. Responsible for the maintenance and security of the branch facility and its contents. Support all daily operations of the branch, including working outside of normal banking hours.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 8 years in retail bank operations experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Supervisory/leadership abilities.
  • Proven sales/business development abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Advanced coursework through banking accredited programs, such as ABA, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Meets or exceeds thresholds for annual sales goals to be reviewed on a quarterly basis.
  • Aligns annual to team performance/goals.
  • Administers new products or programs, including sales promotions and incentive programs, encouraging staff member participation.
  • Assists customers with account inquiries in a timely and accurate manner and performs all functions associated with account opening and maintenance as needed.
  • Counsels and manages all branch employee performance issues and performance reviews.
  • Resolves customer complaints and issues with the highest level of customer service.
  • Mentor and coach associates to maintain customer service standards and retain and expand personal and business relationships.
  • Ensure all banking operations and branch employee are in compliance with state and federal banking laws.
  • Support the Assistant Banking Center Manager with leadership and management of the team, including employee hiring and dismissal procedures.
  • Self-generate outbound calling/marketing efforts within and throughout the Tampa Bay market, with a primary focus on retail and commercial business development within a 5-10 mile radius of the banking center.
  • Acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking regulations and policies and those regulations and policies inherent to position requirements.
