In addition, the team boasts a great culture, with smart and driven individuals in a collaborative setting, with great emphasis on knowledge building and sharing." - MD You and Your Job As VP, Assistant Portfolio Manager you will be successful by diligently analyzing and assessing the risk drivers and mitigants in the transaction and financing structure and monitoring portfolio developments. This is a key role for the success of the business line and bank overall. The role will be critical in the administration, management, and monitoring of a high-volume and growing portfolio. Analyzing and timely responding to client requests in a professional manner. Proactive credit risk management by keeping on top of developments in a portfolio of construction and operating projects (wind, solar, battery storage and other sustainable energy technologies) and market developments at large and proactively assessing how they can impact the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree: CFA is a plus. MBA or technical graduate degrees preferred.
  • Experience with portfolio management and client management within energy, renewables, structured debt or project finance. Prior work experience at a bank is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to travel regionally, up to 15%.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and negotiate amendment, waiver and consent requests from Borrowers – write up the credit memos, review legal documentation and complete all internal workflows required for internal approvals and timely execution.
  • Monitor portfolio deals, which will entail reviewing quarterly and annual financial statements and other reporting deliverables, and preparing the annual reviews in conjunction with the Credit team. Includes providing base case and downside case scenarios, internal deal rating and pricing, counterparty analysis, contract analysis, and financial and structural analyses.
  • Responsible for the Rabobank Risk Rating, LEA/LGD and RAROC models
  • Develop financial projections for projects and corporates
  • Assist with the monitoring of the portfolio by researching and collecting market, sector outlook and transaction data and updating/maintaining the relevant internal databases.
  • Prepare and maintain operating performance tables for specific transactions comparing actual performance against the base case and analyze the drivers of performance and key credit metrics
  • Review Borrower’s financial condition – review historical financials and prepare cash flow projections
  • Track ratings of different counterparties (offtakers, guarantors, and other major counterparties)
  • Assist in draw and disbursements packages. Review and analyze Letter of Credit issuances.
  • Monitor and review reporting deliverables.
  • Assist with covenant compliance tracking.
  • Update internal credit templates.
  • Assist with Portfolio analytics and portfolio projections.
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with internal reporting requirements.
  • Assist with covenant compliance tracking.
  • Assist on any audit requests and portfolio administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support team members in the day-to-day information flow with clients and third-parties in a transaction execution setting.
  • On Agented transactions: Manage back and forth communications with Lenders on amendment/waiver/consent requests. Keep track of Lender required voting thresholds.
  • Support senior team members as needed in the analysis and execution of various transactions.
