About The Position

As an Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) at Schwab, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and development within the branch network. This position focuses on enhancing market share and client assets while providing leadership and coaching to a team of branch professionals. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to implement local business strategies and ensure the team meets performance and engagement goals. This role serves as a stepping stone to becoming a Branch Manager, where you will lead efforts to help clients achieve their financial objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Valid and active Series 7 license required.
  • Valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license required.
  • Valid and active Series 9/10 (8) license required (may be obtained within a 90 day condition of employment).
  • Flexibility to relocate across the network when a manager role becomes available.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 5 years in the financial services industry with leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide ongoing employee coaching, development, and recognition.
  • Demonstrated business development experience with a strong drive for results.
  • Passion to focus on retention and development of top talent through coaching, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license (may be obtained within a 120 day condition of employment).
  • CFP® designation is preferred.
  • Strong brokerage and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive local business plan focused on growth of market share and client assets.
  • Coach and manage a team of branch professionals, focusing on performance management and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to achieve branch goals and objectives.
  • Engage with clients to understand their financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Foster relationships within the community and Schwab to enhance business development.
