As VP, Archives, you'll be responsible for Concord Label Group’s archival infrastructure to locate, organize, verify and preserve physical and digital assets. Works under general direction from Label Service Operations.

Requirements

  • 10-12+ years’ experience in a senior archival or adjacent role in music or entertainment
  • Expertise in both physical and digital media formats (for audio and video) and broader modern recording processes within the music industry
  • Deep knowledge of digital supply chain distribution and metadata standards
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • A passion for preserving the historical value and legacy of diverse artist catalogs

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the division-wide archiving initiative to preserve, store and navigate Concord’s physical and digital repertoire
  • Builds and maintains a centralized suite of asset management tools for locating and retrieving assets within Iron Mountain and other internal databases
  • Presents an annual roadmap of preservation priorities, opportunities and goals
  • Manages the day-to-day relationship with Iron Mountain and other external partners that are core to the archival process
  • Develops and improves processes for archival documentation, labeling, imaging and ingestion both for existing assets and the ingestion of new acquisitions
  • Implements the methodology for digitizing tapes and other at-risk media formats to preserve collection integrity
  • Identifies revenue opportunities born from asset discovery in partnership with Labels and Services teams
  • Negotiates agreements with external partners in conjunction with senior leadership to ensure best in class rates and services
