This role will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for SharkNinja’s Advanced Development organization, driving the exploration, design, and validation of the next generation of electrical, electronic, and systems technologies. The Vice President of Advanced Development – Electrical Engineering will lead multidisciplinary teams to develop breakthrough architectures, integrate advanced semiconductors and sensing platforms, and translate emerging technologies into scalable solutions that power SharkNinja’s future products. This leader will define and deliver the electrical and electronics systems aspects of SharkNinja’s technology roadmap, working cross-functionally with Product, Mechanical, Software, and Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of advanced technologies across the company’s portfolio.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of experience in electrical, systems, or electronics engineering, with at least 10 years in senior leadership in consumer electronics, semiconductor-based systems, or advanced product development.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing multi-year technology roadmaps.
  • Deep technical expertise in circuit design, power systems, sensors, control systems, and semiconductor integration.
  • Strong understanding of embedded architectures, PCB design, and reliability engineering.
  • Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams and collaborating effectively across product, mechanical, software, and operations disciplines.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical innovation into tangible market advantages.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (UL, CE, FCC, safety, and reliability).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision & Technology Roadmap
  • Define and lead SharkNinja’s long-term technology strategy for electrical, electronic, and systems innovation, aligning with corporate and category growth objectives.
  • Create and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap that drives competitive differentiation in performance, intelligence, and energy efficiency.
  • Partner with executive leadership and product development teams to align advanced development with business goals and consumer insights.
  • Scout, assess, and integrate emerging semiconductor, sensor, and control technologies into SharkNinja’s development pipeline.
  • Advanced Development & Engineering Leadership
  • Lead concept and prototype development for advanced electrical and embedded architectures that enable future product capabilities.
  • Oversee system-level design, integrating power systems, sensors, control algorithms, and communication interfaces.
  • Drive deep collaboration between electrical, mechanical, software, and design engineering to ensure holistic system performance.
  • Ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and compliant with reliability, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Technology Innovation & Systems Integration
  • Champion the development of next-generation electronics platforms, including microcontroller selection, semiconductor roadmap alignment, and hardware optimization.
  • Evaluate and apply emerging technologies in sensing, actuation, low-power design, AI at the edge, and high-efficiency control systems.
  • Guide technology validation, testing, and rapid prototyping efforts to accelerate feasibility and shorten innovation cycles.
  • Foster partnerships with semiconductor suppliers and research institutions to stay at the forefront of component technology.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
  • Build strong, transparent partnerships across Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure alignment from concept through launch.
  • Collaborate with Software and Systems leaders to ensure full-stack integration from hardware through firmware and user experience.
  • Communicate technology strategy and progress effectively to both technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Cultivate an organizational culture of curiosity, collaboration, and technical excellence.
