About The Position
Woodlands Senior Living has volunteer opportunities for those seeking to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors in their area. WSL of Farmington is a community consisting of independent living apartments, assisted living and specialized memory care located in Farmington, Maine. We are part of Woodlands Senior Living, winner of the 2018 Maine Family Business of the Year award. Our purpose and promise is to provide superior, individualized care to seniors including those with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments. Requirements
- Volunteer applicants will be screened via background & reference checks
- Volunteers will be required to comply with immunization requirements.
- Volunteers will participate in an orientation program and in-service training.
- Required vaccinations include: MMR, Varicella, Seasonal Influenza
Responsibilities
- Visit and talk with residents
- Assist during activities such as arts & crafts and games
- Deliver mail and write letters for residents
- Accompany residents on outings or walks around the premises
- Deliver meals or snacks
- Greet community visitors
