Volunteer & Intern Opportunities
About The Position
Volunteers provide a wide range of support based on the volunteer’s interest and the current needs of the agency. Volunteers will work with the Volunteer Coordinator to find the appropriate placement. Volunteers will continue service opportunities through ongoing communication with the Volunteer Coordinator and assigned Supervisors. Agency Expectations of the Volunteer: Follow all policies and procedures of the agency Complete assigned tasks and seek support as needed Only accept assignments in which the volunteer can complete to the best of their abilities Respect the confidentiality of agency business Volunteer Expectations of the Agency: To have meaningful service opportunities Receive necessary support to perform tasks to the best of your capabilities Respect for efficient and effective use of volunteer time To be treated with mutual respect by agency staff members Volunteer Service Opportunities: Refugee Services Support Benefits: Impacting positive change in the lives of the clients our agency serves Sharing and expanding your knowledge and skills for the betterment of others Work in collaboration with agency staff assist children, adults, and families in our community Requirements: Supports Mission, Vision and Values of agency Act as an ambassador for the agency within the scope of volunteer service Forges mutually respectful, and professional partnerships with team members and clients Sensitive to and respective of cultural diversity Sets boundaries and maintains the helping role of the volunteer to appropriately to meet the needs of the persons or family members served.
