Applications for Volunteers are granted, per need of the school. Volunteer: A Volunteer must be approved by the Principal and the SBDM Council. Being a Volunteer requires a Federal Background Check and a Central Registry Check for Child & Neglect (CAN). Workflow for Volunteer Applications: Volunteer completes the online Application. The Principal and SBDM Council review the application at the monthly SBDM meeting. Approved Volunteer application is sent to the HR Manager at Central Office to begin the volunteer process. The Volunteer must contact the HR Department at 606-256-2125 to schedule a Federal Background Check and a Central Registry Check for Child & Neglect (CAN). There is a fee for both background checks that must be paid by the volunteer. Both the Federal & CAN Check must be completed & cleared before a Volunteer can begin working with students. The HR Manager will send a letter to the Volunteer, stating when they were approved.
