About The Position
At Maine Veterans’ Homes, our mission is to honor and care for Maine’s veterans and their families. We are currently seeking a dedicated Volunteer Van Driver to help ensure our residents stay connected to the care, services, and community they deserve. This is a rewarding opportunity to give back to those who have served our country—while building meaningful relationships along the way.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Comfort driving a passenger van (training/orientation provided if needed)
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient
- A genuine desire to support veterans and older adults
Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and community events
- Provide a friendly, respectful, and supportive experience during each trip
- Communicate with staff to coordinate schedules and ensure smooth transportation
