About The Position

The County Attorney's Office offers unpaid summer internships for students interested in practical experience in the field of public law. Interns will assist in tasks such as research, writing, filing, scanning documents, and other clerical tasks. When possible, interns may also observe depositions and court appearances. Interns will participate in field trips, which in past years have included tours of the Maple Street Correctional Center and the Forensic Laboratory. The 8-week in-person program will run from June 16, 2025, through August 7, 2025, and interns will work onsite in our Redwood City office for 15-24 hours weekly.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in an undergraduate program

Responsibilities

  • Assist in research and writing tasks
  • File and scan documents
  • Perform other clerical tasks
  • Observe depositions and court appearances when possible
  • Participate in field trips related to the legal field
