About The Position

The position involves assisting with the administration of Volunteer Services Department programs by providing supervision on weekends and evenings, coordinating trainings, and scheduling volunteers. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience working with volunteers in a supervisory capacity.

Nice To Haves

  • Public speaking is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Must have computer skills to include data entry.
  • Must have skills and ability to utilize Microsoft: Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise volunteers on assigned shifts.
  • Serve as a resource person to volunteers in the daily operations of the Volunteer Services Department.
  • Develop relationships with community agencies, groups, and professional affiliations to increase volunteerism and develop new programs.
  • Develop and implement junior and student group meetings and reward and recognition events.
  • Recruit, screen, and orient new volunteers.
  • Maintain professional growth and development.
  • Maintain volunteer personnel files and assist with completing annual testing on all volunteers.
  • Maintain volunteer schedules and respond appropriately to fill openings.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with management, volunteers, and hospital employees.
