About The Position
iMentor is seeking 1 Chicago based customer service and detail-oriented Volunteer Screening Coordinator (VSC) to join the National Screening Team. Their mission: iMentor Screening uses program knowledge to evaluate prospective mentors for safety, consistency, collaboration and mission alignment to build high-impact relationships that drive student success. Every year, iMentor recruits around 2,000 adults to serve as mentors to high school students in our program. VSCs play a pivotal role in preparing these mentors to support mentees, guiding applicants through a screening process that assesses their suitability for the program. Through thoughtful interviews and application reviews, VSCs will oversee iMentor’s screening pipeline from start to finish and will set the stage for a volunteer experience that is welcoming, energizing and impactful. VSCs will connect with prospective mentors from NYC, Chicago and Baltimore. This VSC role will also support the Chicago Mentor Engagement team’s on-site monthly Background Check events. This position is being offered on a full-time (40-hour/week) hybrid and seasonal basis. Additionally, iMentor provides excellent and full benefits for this seasonal role.
