Under the direction of Manager, Volunteer Services, the Volunteer Program Specialist (VPS) provides oversight, planning, and execution of new and existing strategic Junior and Adult Volunteer programs. The Volunteer Program Specialist assists the Manager, Volunteer Services overseeing the recruitment, placement, on-boarding, training and support, and is responsible for entering and maintaining said volunteer records in the Volunteer Services database. The Volunteer Program Specialist is critical to our person centered environment leading by example and educating volunteers, employees, and physicians. By demonstrating our core values and Planetree principles, the VPS positively impacts our culture as well as the patient, volunteer, employee and physician experience. It is imperative the VPS exhibits outstanding customer service skills and demonstrates caring, kindness and respect in all interactions. Whether providing care to patients, communicating educational information, or providing support to caregivers, the VPS must be an example doing so with respect and compassion demonstrating our values and always putting patients first.
