Interim Healthcare is a leading Regional Provider of Hospice Services based in Texas, with a commitment to placing the patient's interests at the heart of everything we do. The Volunteer Program Manager (VPM) plays a crucial role in our organization by planning, coordinating, and managing all elements of the volunteer program. This includes the training and supervision of volunteers, ensuring that they are well-equipped to provide the necessary support to our patients and their families. The VPM will work closely with the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) to identify the need for volunteer services that support hospice program functions and enhance the quality of care provided to patients. The VPM is responsible for recruiting and selecting volunteers to meet the needs of the hospice program. This involves developing and providing a comprehensive volunteer training and orientation program, as well as offering ongoing support and supervision to Volunteer Recruitment Coordinators. The VPM will also maintain files of volunteers, evaluate their performance, and provide volunteer services as needed. Regular attendance at IDG meetings is essential, as the VPM will participate in the development of the IDG plan of care, ensuring that volunteer services are integrated into the overall care strategy for patients and families. In addition to these responsibilities, the VPM will participate in budget preparation for program development and contribute to the quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) program. This role is vital in fostering a strong culture of care within our organization, where the relationships we build with our patients and volunteers are foundational to our success.
