Volunteer - Operations Center
About The Position
The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian organization dedicated to assisting the persecuted church worldwide. Founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, VOM continues its mission globally. Volunteers at the VOM Operations Center assist with essential production and mailing projects that support global ministry efforts. This role plays a vital part in ensuring resources and communications are prepared and distributed accurately and efficiently, allowing volunteers to become part of a global fellowship of prayer, action, and tangible support, helping sustain hope for individuals facing isolation, injustice, and violence.
Requirements
- Must personally adhere to VOM's statement of faith and five main purposes
- Must attend church, gathering regularly for worship, fellowship, Bible study, and prayer
- Maintain the expectation for decorum in VOM's Handbook
- Adhere to all instructions given by VOM staff
- Closed-toe shoes are required
- All prospective employees will have their references checked and may be subject to a background check and/or drug screening
Responsibilities
- Folding and assembling printed materials
- Counting and sorting items
- Stacking and organizing materials
- Stuffing envelopes and packaging resources
- Applying labels and stickers
- Stamping and preparing mailings
- Shrink-wrapping and preparing shipments
