About The Position

The Volunteer Manager/Mentoring Coordinator at Rainbow Pride Youth Alliance is responsible for leading volunteer recruitment, training, and mentoring programs aimed at supporting youth development. Requirements

  • Background in social work or related fields is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for recruiting and retaining volunteers.
  • Create and maintain a database of volunteers, including their skills, interests, and availability.
  • Conduct interviews, background checks, and onboarding processes for new volunteers.
  • Provide ongoing support and recognition to volunteers to ensure their engagement and satisfaction.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate mentoring programs that match youth with suitable mentors.
  • Develop training materials and conduct orientation sessions for mentors and mentees.
  • Monitor mentor-mentee relationships and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins and feedback sessions to assess program effectiveness.
  • Organize and facilitate training workshops for volunteers and mentors focused on youth development, effective communication, and mentoring best practices.
  • Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and businesses to promote volunteer opportunities and mentoring programs.
  • Represent the organization at community events and outreach initiatives to raise awareness about our mission and programs.
  • Collect and analyze data on volunteer participation, mentoring outcomes, and program impact.
  • Prepare reports for stakeholders and funders highlighting program successes and areas for improvement.
