Stone House Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is always looking for energetic and motivated volunteers to join our team! We are one of the busiest stations in the county, responding to nearly 5,000 fire and emergency medical related calls annually. Dispatches range from relatively minor emergencies such as fire alarms or slips and falls to large scale incidents like cardiac arrests, auto accidents, hazardous material releases, structure fires and train derailments. Members entering the fire operations career track will spend the first 18 months of their membership completing intense training which includes the Firefighter I & II course at the Public Safety Academy. All members are assigned a 12 hour weekly duty crew shift and one weekend shift which rotate every four weeks. A probationary period (at least 6 months) is required for all members.
