About The Position

The position involves developing effective recruitment strategies to enhance the visibility of the Caris Healthcare Volunteer Program within the community. The role includes providing training, orientation, and oversight to Caris Healthcare Volunteers, as well as assigning volunteers based on program needs and their interests and skills. Additionally, the position requires arranging volunteer meetings for support, ongoing training, problem-solving, and community engagement. The individual will also complete social assessments with patients and caregivers to enhance their quality of life, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, and contribute to the development of the patient plan of care. Furthermore, the role includes coordinating bereavement interventions and community outreach activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a Behavioral or Social science area concentration preferred.
• One (1) year experience in a related field and volunteer activity preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient computer and technology skills.
