About The Position

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for part-time Volleyball Coach position. The Volleyball Coach will foster a supportive and team-focused environment while leading programs that inspire active lifestyles and community well-being. Location: Fullerton Work Schedule: Thursday 3:45pm - 9:45pm Sunday 12:00pm - 9:00pm

Requirements

Minimum Age: Must be 16 with a valid work permit.
Must have experience coaching or playing volleyball.
Must be able to work with children ages 8 to 15 years old.
Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.
First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).

Nice To Haves

Experience in customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

Be a Mentor: Guide youth in building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship while developing fundamental skills for success on and off the court.
Facilitate Participant Experience: Lead participants through registration and check-in with professionalism, communicate schedules and program details clearly, and ensure every athlete feels prepared and supported.
Inspire Positive Engagement: Encourage athletes to embrace sportsmanship and collaboration while fostering a positive, motivating environment that promotes learning and personal development.
Build Positive Connections: Engage with youth and families to foster a friendly atmosphere, answer questions, and create a space that encourages open communication and lasting connections.
