About The Position

RMC is hiring for a Senior Network Engineer (ON SITE - FULL TIME) to support our customer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) located in West Bethesda, MD (HYBRID). The Senior Network Engineer will assist the customer with maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient datamunications networks at NSWCCD. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the planning, designing, engineering, installation, configuration management, documentation, maintenance, and monitoring of Teleconferencing, networkmunication devices, and associated elements that support core network functions and services.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of networking experience, three (3) of which shall include experience with Cisco products in an Ethernet environment
  • Must possess an associate's degree or higher in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or software engineering from an accredited college or university
  • An active DoD TOP SECRET clearance is required to start
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • Must possess current CISCO certifications and after obtain the most current advanced-level training
  • Must possess an IAT III 8140.03 baseline certification (one from the following list): Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

Responsibilities

  • Configuration and management of virtual local-area networks (VLANs), routing, and failover mechanisms
  • Configuration and management of firewall rules based on ports, protocols, and services
  • Configuration and management of Cisco VOIP network and environment design and management
  • Configuration and management of Wi-Fi network and environment design and management
  • Configuration and management of VPN solutions for Microsoft and Linux environments
  • Management of IPv4 and IPv6 network address schemes and allocations
  • Management of network-related DISA STIG activities
  • Provision of services for obtaining and troubleshooting various capacity leased lines and associated equipment used for interface into the Research, Development, Technical, and Engineering (RDT&E) network and NSWCCD's detachment sites
  • Maintain and update circuit information to avoid inadvertent interruption of service
  • Prepare circuit diagrams and update service agreements, when needed
