Requirements

  • 10 + years of experience in video teleconferencing support or a related IT field.
  • Strong knowledge of VTC protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP) and networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, QoS).
  • Experience managing VTC equipment such as Poly, Cisco WebEx devices, and Surface Hub systems.
  • VTC-Specific: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Poly Certified Video Engineer (PCVE)
  • General IT: ITIL Foundation
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Public Trust

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a federal or enterprise environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development and implementation for complex to extremely complex systems with in the VoIP infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoots performance issues.
  • Analyzes voice traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.
  • Configures, deploys, and maintains VTC endpoints (e.g., Poly Group Series, Cisco, Surface Hub, Microsoft Teams Rooms).
  • Monitors and manages backend systems such as RealPresence Resource Manager (RPRM), ISE, and scheduling tools.
  • Performs firmware updates, patch managements, and endpoint re-certifications as needed.
  • Ensures systems are compliant with organizational standards, including network configurations like VLANs and QoS.
  • Diagnoses and resolves hardware, software, and network issues affecting VTC systems.
  • Responds to user support tickets and provides on-site or remote assistance for live meetings.
  • Coordinates with vendors for advanced troubleshooting or hardware replacements.
  • Integrates VTC solutions with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
  • Conducts system testing, including network assessments, audio-video quality checks, and IPV6 compatibility tests.
  • Validates and deploys certificates for endpoint security.
  • Conducts training sessions for end users on VTC system operations and meeting management.
  • Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for troubleshooting, system setup, and maintenance workflows.
  • Assists in large-scale deployments, including field office upgrades and new installations.
  • Participates in meetings to discuss project timelines, requirements, and deliverables with internal teams and external partners.
