About The Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional voice instructor to teach part-time at The Catoctin School of Music, located in Leesburg, VA. The role requires in-person instruction, and teachers have the flexibility to set their availability within the school's open hours, though consistency and greater availability are preferred. Instructor pay ranges from $30-45 per hour, commensurate with experience. Ensemble Schools is a partnership of community-driven music and dance schools that maintain individual identities while sharing resources for mutual success. The Catoctin School of Music, specifically, focuses on music study as an investment in education, serving a diverse student body from ages 4 to 84, and has a track record of guiding students through college auditions and producing award-winning musicians. The mission of Ensemble Schools is to empower artists by safeguarding the businesses that support them, guided by values of Stewardship, Growth, and acting as Stagehands to support schools and teachers.
Requirements
- Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance or pedagogy or equivalent performing experience
- Demonstrated love of teaching
- Experience working with young musicians
- Robust appreciation for punctuality
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a routine background check
