About The Position

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing job training, employment placement, and support services for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. With a focus on empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and inclusion in the community, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been serving the Greater Cincinnati area for over 100 years. The Vocational Services Coordinator serves as the critical bridge between clients, regional employers, and state funding partners (OOD). This role balances active client advocacy with high-level administrative oversight to ensure program continuity and financial sustainability. Key priorities include securing and tracking authorizations, streamlining billable reporting via Brittco, and maintaining strong professional relationships with the business community to resolve placement concerns and mitigate job loss.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Required
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in vocational rehabilitation, social services, or a related administrative role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Brittco software and Microsoft Excel is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of OOD reporting requirements and authorization processes.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations with employers and state partners.
  • Organization: Must be a "process-oriented" individual capable of tracking multiple deadlines and financial data points simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between employers and the agency to resolve issues or concerns regarding client placement and performance.
  • Lead and facilitate Job Loss Meetings, developing strategies to mitigate employment barriers and support client retention.
  • Represent the agency in professional settings to ensure client needs are met and billable milestones are achieved.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of OOD (Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities) authorizations, including requesting, tracking, and monitoring utilization.
  • Audit and finalize all vocational reports to ensure they meet OOD quality standards before submission.
  • Proactively identify expiring authorizations to ensure no lapse in billable services.
  • Prepare and organize comprehensive reports for invoicing, ensuring all billable hours are captured accurately for the finance department (Alexis).
  • Serve as the Brittco Subject Matter Expert, providing technical training and support to staff members to ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain a "big picture" view of service delivery to maximize agency efficiency and revenue.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the coaching team regarding documentation and compliance.
  • Serve as a backup Job Coach in emergency or "last resort" scenarios to ensure continuity of care for our clients.
