About The Position

As the Vocational Coordinator for Program Services, you will coordinate the day-to-day operations of a vocational training program and facilitate implementation of individual employment plans in community job sites. Requirements

  • Current driver's license in good standing, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent proficiency in the areas of responsibility may be substituted for the above education and experience
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with others
  • Reliable, responsible, and caring nature
  • Commitment to the company's mission and values

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with assigned individuals to implement Individual Plans of Employment in community job sites or other locations
  • Complete necessary assessments/paperwork as required by Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS)
  • Market and recruit companies for contract-supported employment and volunteer opportunities
  • Transport individuals to work sites and assist in transferring individuals out of van or auto
  • Encourage and facilitate normalized work environment through coaching, mentoring, and training
  • Report and document all occurrences of injuries if necessary; maintain a safe environment Attend scheduled in-service training
  • Provide daily oversight of Direct Support Professionals
  • Monitor and maintain billing and DRS authorizations; maintain billable goals
  • Contribute to training of other departmental employees as needed
