About The Position

The LA28 organizing committee is on a mission to create an unparalleled Games experience for athletes, fans, partners, our community, and our people. The Venue Infrastructure team is responsible for delivering the competition and non-competition venues fit-for-purpose for the preparation and staging of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The VNI Manager, Containment will oversee the development of containment plans, inform procurement of containment, and manage installation, maintenance, and removal during operations. This role requires significant integration with stakeholders to develop cable pathways and the infrastructure required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience with large infrastructure integration.
  • Experience with temporary infrastructure and overlay.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering and collaboration tools (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Experience with key industry codes and practices.
  • Knowledge of key containment activities, including site preparation and grading.
  • Knowledge of fundamental project management concepts.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with local or major sporting events (Olympics & Paralympic Games, World Cup, etc.).
  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Knowledge of Project Management and Construction in the United States and California.

Responsibilities

  • Lead containment technical design and development for existing and temporary venues.
  • Oversee external resources to deliver on workstream responsibilities.
  • Develop technical engineering design guides and principles.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholder requirements for containment solutions.
  • Manage and develop review process for plans to meet departmental milestones.
  • Integrate and influence venue design for efficient containment solutions.
  • Prepare and oversee the containment portion of venue design books and technical publications.
  • Support the development of integrated workplans and schedules.
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement teams to prepare costs and identify savings opportunities.
  • Oversee an installation team during operations and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Problem solve and negotiate with stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $88,000.00 - $115,000.00.
