About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VMware Engineer/Consultant in the United States.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployments across multiple Army bases in the U.S., supporting advanced infrastructure projects for secure government environments. You will collaborate with a small, specialized team to analyze existing systems, develop optimized deployment strategies, and implement VCF solutions on-site. This position requires travel to assigned locations, hands-on problem solving, and close coordination with architects and staff consultants to ensure operational stability, performance, and security of virtualized environments. The role combines technical expertise, strategic planning, and clear communication to deliver state-of-the-art VMware solutions in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting.

Requirements

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with CI Poly or Full Scope Poly at the time of hire
• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of equivalent relevant work experience
• VCF certification required (VCF 5.2, VCF 9.0 preferred) with ability to obtain within 60 days of starting
• Experience deploying VMware VCF or individual VCF product suite components
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Security+ certification is required
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to assigned bases, with travel expenses covered if necessary

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned Army bases across the U.S. to deploy and support VMware VCF environments
• Analyze existing infrastructure and collaborate with the team to develop optimized deployment plans
• Install, configure, and maintain VMware systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and high performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, storage, and virtualization issues within VCF deployments
• Document processes, deployment strategies, and solutions for both internal teams and customers
• Provide timely status updates and recommendations to stakeholders, maintaining clear communication
• Work closely with architects and consultants to implement best practices and maintain secure environments
