About The Position

VMware Administrator Systems AdministratorAnnapolis Junction, MD |Responsibilities Design and implement VMware vSphere virtualization solutions, focusing on server consolidation, high availability, and disaster recovery.   Configure and maintain VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and other VMware components.   Monitor virtual infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal resource utilization.   Provision, deploy, and manage virtual machines (VMs), templates, and snapshots.   Implement and maintain security measures for virtualized environments, including access controls, network segmentation, and VM isolation.   Create and maintain documentation related to virtualization configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Active Secret clearance.  Due to federal requirements, all candidates must be US Citizens without Dual Citizenship to another country.?  7+ years of relevant experience.  This is an on-site position at a government facility.  Requires presence on-site five days per week in Annapolis Junction, MD.  Candidates must reside within a commutable distance.  Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Due to federal requirements, all candidates must be US Citizens without Dual Citizenship to another country.?
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • This is an on-site position at a government facility.
  • Requires presence on-site five days per week in Annapolis Junction, MD.
  • Candidates must reside within a commutable distance.

  • Proven experience as a VMware Engineer or similar role, with expertise in designing and managing VMware vSphere environments.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere features and capabilities, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, vMotion, HA, DRS, and vSAN.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies for virtualized environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
