About The Position

Virginia Eye Consultants is seeking a Vitreoretinal Surgeon to join our multi-subspecialty team in Coastal Virginia! Immediate patient access to surgery performing cataract and vitreoretinal procedures, including retinal detachment repair, macular surgery, diabetic eye disease, and complex posterior segment cases. Established patient referral base with immediate clinic and OR access. 1:3 months call rotation (ODs take first call). Mentorship and collaboration with nationally recognized subspecialists. Teaching and research opportunities available. Full integration into a busy, collaborative, multi-subspecialty team.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
  • Completion of residency in ophthalmology
  • Fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery
  • Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology

  • Interest in clinical research and teaching

Responsibilities
