About The Position

The Vitamin Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for overseeing the sales and operations of the Vitamin Department, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining a knowledgeable team. This role involves managing inventory, achieving sales goals, and providing guidance on health and beauty products to customers. The Vitamin Manager also plays a key role in team development and operational efficiency within the department.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age with a minimum of 1 year of experience in vitamins, homeopathy, or holistic health, along with leadership experience.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction.
  • Ability to perform general housekeeping in the department, including cleaning and dusting.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.
  • Willingness to gain education on new products and alternative health.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday, and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to move a ladder and maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs.
  • Ability to use a pallet jack and maneuver six wheel carts as required.
  • Ability to walk a total of up to 5 miles in an 8-hour shift.
  • Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, and financial goals.
  • Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude towards team members and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail management or team leadership in a grocery or health food environment.
  • Knowledge of holistic health practices and alternative medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent customer service by providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable information about supplements and related products.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and health and beauty items to guide customers effectively.
  • Order products and manage inventory control to meet sales goals.
  • Oversee sales and promotional events to drive department performance.
  • Work with the Buyer and Store Manager to evaluate inventory based on sales reports and market trends.
  • Engage and evaluate team members through coaching and performance reviews.
  • Regularly attend and participate in in-store meetings to stay informed and aligned with store goals.
  • Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
  • Exercise independent judgment to address team member concerns and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Create and adjust schedules to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency in the department.
  • Communicate standards, expectations, and product knowledge to team members.
  • Lead a collaborative team to deliver high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
  • Serve as a Key Carrier and act as Manager on Duty as needed.
