Job Overview: The IRC UT’s Financial Capability Programs support English Language Learners and low-income individuals in developing their knowledge and skills in navigating the US financial system. As part of this aim, the IRC has facilitated the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Project, providing free tax preparation services for these community members. Under the supervision of the IRC UT’s Economic Empowerment Program Manager and Financial Capabilities Coordinator, the VITA Site Coordinator supports the coordination and day-to-day administration of the IRC’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in Salt Lake City, UT. IRC UT’s goal is to assist 300 taxpayers in preparing their returns in a safe, culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
