OBJECTIVE The Visual Merchandiser supports the Visual Merchandising Manager to create and execute operations related to specific store floor plans, presentations, product displays and additional merchandising aspects. Responsible for leading the creation of seasonal floor moves and displays across store departments in coordination with Department Managers in order to pique customer interest and drive sales. Maintaining a strong knowledge of industry trends, product availability, and product usage through communication with the Visual Merchandising Manager is needed to develop effective visual displays and offer a high level of customer service.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in a retail work environment in roles focused on Marketing or Visual Merchandising required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Work or personal experience in the horticultural industry or related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement design displays across the store in accordance with merchandising plan that integrate products from several departments to pique customer interest
- Coordinate with department managers in leading the implementation of floor moves and display maintenance at the designated location
- Assist the Visual Merchandising Manager to ensure designated store displays align with the current marketing message utilizing proper signage, pricing, and design
- Maintain a strong level of product knowledge, availability, and industry trends to offer customers a high level of customer service regarding questions and inquires
- Assist the Visual Merchandising Manager in the routine maintenance of store displays to ensure displays remain visually appealing with high quality products all in accordance with company standards
- Provide direction and training to store associates on how to properly maintain store displays
- Assist with all other duties as assigned
