About The Position

Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. Visual Merchandiser Full Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $18 to $19 depending on qualifications and experience Must be at least 18 years and older Position Description: The Visual Merchandiser assists in generating sales through creative retail displays that capture buyers’ attention, with the goal of providing an excellent in-store shopping experience. To be successful, a visual merchandiser must ensure the store’s visual appearance is always maintained to the highest standard while following the brand guidelines outlined by the Art Director & Senior Visual Design Manager. This role also supports the marketing efforts of the store through active management of social media and event promotions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining signage in the store is number one, the goal is to create an exceptional shopping experience to drive sales.
  • Communicating and assisting the Visual Design Manager daily to achieve expectations as the visual team.
  • Communicate with the VDM any requests and/or needs that have been expressed by sales department managers.
  • Walking the store throughout the day, while assisting and guiding departments with the implementation of their visuals.
  • Making sure that all signage and visuals are following set standards.
  • Utilize provided design content to support sales teams as outlined above.
  • Prepare signage and visuals for weekly sales and promotions.
  • Setting departments for seasonal visual updates and/or special events.
  • The printing and dry mounting of adhesive vinyl to plastics and cardboard to create displays to specifications.
  • Manage store social media accounts to reflect brand identity and promote in-store experience.
  • Post regularly about events, pop-ups, and new merchandise.
  • Promote key product highlights through engaging visual content.
  • Track engagement metrics and adapt social strategies to boost visibility and customer interaction.
