About The Position

The Visual Merchandiser at Target plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by ensuring that visual displays are set and maintained according to the Visual Merchandising Guide (VMG). This position focuses on driving sales through expert knowledge of visual standards, merchandising techniques, and in-store marketing elements. The role involves training and developing team members, executing visual merchandising strategies, and maintaining visual integrity throughout the store.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 to 2 years of visual merchandising experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Business acumen and creativity to inspire guests and drive sales.
• Strong understanding of trend and style reflective of the brand.
• Ability to lead and influence store teams to follow visual merchandising processes.
• Effective communication skills and capability to operate technology equipment as directed.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude.
• Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in training and developing team members in visual merchandising.
• Knowledge of retail business fundamentals including sales trends and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Support a great guest experience by ensuring visual moments are set and maintained according to VMG direction.

• Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing best practices through team onboarding and learning.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Understand sales goals and plan daily/weekly workload to deliver on visual merchandising and sales goals.
• Support the execution of the company Visual Merchandising strategy and visual standards across the store.
• Validate the execution of all VMG sets in partnership with leaders.
• Set overhead spotlights to highlight key merchandising presentations.
• Partner with leaders to maintain visual integrity by remerchandising in-store visual moments.
• Support ETL or SD with team onboarding and continuous learning.
• Leverage daily interactions to teach visual standards to team members.
• Maintain organization of backroom ISM space and keep current with signing tools and fixtures.
• Work in a safe manner and comply with all safety policies.
