About The Position

This position involves executing and creating store decorations and visual merchandising for seasonal, special, and promotional events. The role requires maintaining store merchandise displays and presentations through training and developing Merchandise associates. The individual will acquire, prepare, install, and dismantle existing and new materials for the store's visual merchandise displays in support of planned designs and projects. Effective communication with employees and management is essential, along with assisting with special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other employees.
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain a visual merchandising program that promotes product awareness and sales.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and interpret data from graphs.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a sufficient level to follow written policies and procedures.

• Creativity, imagination, and energy in visual merchandising.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in visual merchandise display, merchandise facility layout, and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Research lifestyle and design trends to ensure designs appeal to the target audience.
• Collaborate with management, marketing, and buying teams to develop themes and color schemes for displays.
• Sketch designs and develop floor plans for visual merchandising.
• Source materials, props, retail fixtures, and lighting for displays.
• Install and dismantle displays; train employees on creating and maintaining displays and statements.
• Prepare visual merchandise packs for stores to ensure all displays present a consistent image.
• Communicate department status to managers on an ongoing basis, including any unusual situations.
• Maintain store displays through training and developing merchandise associates daily.
• Provide guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving guests or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the assigned work area and perform all duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements.
