About The Position

Analyze digital design data and utilize these products in conjunction with build plans to create quality and accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs). Interprets and adds design elements and portions of systems for VWIs to meet manufacturing and installation requirements. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, Teamcenter, NX, SAP, NGP and TDP. Incorporates required changes as applicable. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Responsibilities include consuming model based data and breaking it down into a consumable format that matches the workscope at hand, while thinking outside the box and practicing innovative thinking in a challenging workspace. Requirements

Associate's Degree in relevant field and 0 Years of relevant experience
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience

Nice To Haves

Design, or trade experience is preferred.
Knowledge of VWI’s, TeamCenter, NX, NGP, or SAP is a plus.
Experience in Detail Planning or Production Control is a plus.
Prior shipbuilding experience a plus.
Experience checking technical documents.
Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Ability to adapt quickly to change.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with suppliers/customers.
