About The Position

The Visual Inspector position is an on-site direct hire role with one of our clients in the Latrobe PA area. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections on product in accordance with documented procedures and quality standards. This position will report to the Inspection Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Entry level. No experience necessary.
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to pass a visual acuity test.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and maintains work area to safety and cleanliness standards.
• Uses visual inspection methods to verify that all products are manufactured to customer order specifications and quality standards.
• Properly and legibly documents completed work and nonconformances as required by applicable quality systems and regulations.
• Works in a team-based environment and has a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Works in accordance with and ensures compliance with all applicable quality systems and regulations.
• Maintains and returns all inspection equipment to proper storage areas.
• Embraces and participates in safety culture by conforming and following all safety rules, production, and quality directives.
• Reports any incidents that have occurred and participates in investigations, as required (i.e. safety, spills, accidents, outages, productivity/workflow).
• Seeks assistance from Inspection Supervisor when unsure of procedure or when errors occur.
• Works cohesively and respectfully with all employees, contractors, or interns.
