Visual Inspector Level 1 - 1st Shift

We are looking for a detail-oriented Visual Inspector to join our team in Hawthorne, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in visual inspections, preferably within the aerospace industry or a related field. This is a full-time position, 3- month contract with first-shift hours (10- hour shift).
Requirements
- Experience inspecting mechanical parts (client-specific training provided)
- Must have good communication
- Proficiency in verifying products against drawing requirements
- Strong communication skills and technological proficiency
- Must be willing to undergo a background check
- Must be able to meet ITAR requirements
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience using hand precision tools
Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on visual inspections of components for damage, rust, burrs, foreign object debris (FOD), scratches, dents, and other surface imperfections
- Perform detailed visual checks to ensure parts meet quality and cleanliness standards
- Interpret basic engineering drawings and notes
- Take basic measurements using standard tools when needed but mostly this will consist of visual inspection
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with FOD prevention and safety standards
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple inspection tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Follow all safety protocols, quality procedures, and company standards to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to support production schedules and quality improvement initiatives
