About The Position

Requirements

• BA/BS in Visual Art, Art Education or Design (Master’s a plus) or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years experience teaching visual arts and digital art for K–12 students. Experience teaching adults is a plus.
• Track record of high-quality instruction, classroom management, and student progress.
• Clear communicator, organized, and energized by a busy studio environment.
• Passion for contemporary art and a 'students-first' mindset.

Responsibilities

• Teach weekly art and / or digital art classes and summer camps for a variety of ages and media.
• Ensure student success in the studio and lab by actively engaging with students, document and communicate their progress and opportunities for growth.
• Effectively deliver our proprietary and innovative curriculum in a fun and engaging way.
• Organize and run classes in a manner that is inclusive for all students, including students with learning differences. Manage and mentor teaching assistants.
• Ensure that all students complete their projects on time and to the best of their abilities. Take pictures of student work and complete student progress cards to be shared with parents.
