About The Position

JOB OPPORTUNITY with the Glenview Park District: Visual Arts Instructor (Part-Time) Park Center “Recreate” a better life with a career in the field of Parks & Recreation! JOB SUMMARY The Visual Arts Instructor will teach various art classes including, but not limited to: Bright Beginnings (ages 2-6 + adult) youth and adult art of specific mediums keeping up with current art trends.

Requirements

• bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or a related field, some college required
• motivated
• energetic
• have a diverse art background
• skills to teach basic drawing techniques, design techniques and craft creations
• in-depth understanding of color theory
• Must work well with both children and adults
• Prior teaching experience is a must
• Please be prepared to show samples of your art work
