About The Position

The Visual Arts Department at John Brown University is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach undergraduate courses primarily in graphic design, UX/UI, and computer graphics, starting July 1, 2025. Requirements

• MFA in Graphic Design or Art, or a desire to start/finish one.
• A committed follower of Jesus Christ.
• Ability to teach undergraduate courses.

• Ability to work with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
• Experience or willingness to lead teaching in UX/UI.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in graphic design, UX/UI, and computer graphics.
• Possibly teach courses in Printmaking, Illustration, and Digital Illustration based on departmental needs.
• Provide academic advising to students.
• Participate in departmental responsibilities and university committees.
• Recruit students for the Visual Arts major.
• Engage in personal artistic projects, exhibitions, and competitions.
