About The Position

Vista's Finance Organization empowers teams to focus on their domain and serve customers. We provide clear guardrails for strong engagement and efficiency across our lines of business, regional operations, and central functions. Our team members work cross-functionally, impacting every area of the company, from human resources and communications to finance and legal services. The Controllership team is a vital part of the broader Vista Finance organization. We are responsible for the global accounting operations, the accuracy of periodic financial results, financial policy, compliance, and control for all of Vista.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles (audit and/or industry)
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounting operations, internal controls, and complex accounting topics
  • Proven ability to build and lead a high-performing accounting team
  • Strong leadership and executive presence, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a personal drive for excellence
  • Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems
  • CPA and public accounting experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and oversight of 6+ accounting professionals
  • Central responsibility for the consolidated Vista monthly and quarterly financial close cycle
  • Own centralized accounting activities, including global revenue accounting and capitalized software costs
  • Own the Vista consolidated reporting package, including balance sheet analytical analysis and working capital reporting
  • Activities focused on the budgeting and management of working capital
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and global operating procedures
  • Ownership of complex accounting transactions, including interpretation of accounting guidance and corresponding recognition
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Vista business, providing insights that drive financial performance and support business decision-making
  • Own the internal and external audit process and associated relationships
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a best in class accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Drive automation and efficiency in accounting operations, leveraging AI and related technology to optimize financial reporting activities
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, tax, legal, and operations teams to enhance financial insights and reporting capabilities
  • Lead and participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required
