About The Position

The Visitor Services Senior Specialist is a key role within the Enrollment Management division, responsible for managing the front lines of the Arcidi Center and ensuring exceptional visitor experiences for prospective students, families, and campus partners. This position involves organizing campus visits, providing support through various service channels, and maintaining effective communication across campus offices. The Specialist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and enhancing the overall visitor experience at Merrimack College.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in higher education, admission, or enrollment preferred.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent customer service skills, particularly in public speaking and presentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of office management responsibilities and procedures.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends at various times throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for all prospective students, families, and campus partners.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and assist with scheduling campus info sessions and tours, guidance on the application process, and processing in-person enrollment deposits.
  • Provide assistance through various service channels including in-person visitors, phone, email, and chat.
  • Schedule prospective and admitted students for in-person or virtual offerings and provide information on new student application procedures.
  • Present 2-3 weekly admission information sessions to prospective students and families.
  • Ensure the Welcome Center is prepared daily to welcome visitors, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Respond to and handle all incoming email inquiries to the admission and visitor services email boxes.
  • Coordinate logistics for signature events with outside vendors, including quotes, invoicing, and hotel bookings.
  • Schedule and manage work order facility requests for the Arcidi Center to ensure operational readiness.
  • Create, update, and implement Welcome Center policies and procedures to enhance visitor experience.
  • Monitor, track, and update the operational budget for the Welcome Center.
  • Manage the schedule for Welcome Center meetings and booking of conference rooms.
  • Plan and participate in signature admission events, both on-campus and virtual.
  • Collaborate with the Welcome Center team to identify areas for enhancing the visit experience.
