The Visitor Services Representative plays a crucial role in enhancing the visitor experience at the Flint Institute of Arts by ensuring safety and providing excellent customer service. This part-time position involves various responsibilities, including managing admissions, assisting guests, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive visitor experience.
  • Take admissions and answer phones while reconciling daily cash.
  • Peruse the galleries regularly and assist guests with inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate visitor counts are maintained.
  • Maintain knowledge of FIA's programs, exhibitions, collections, and facilities to assist visitors effectively.
  • Ensure high security for FIA facilities and artworks.
  • Assist FIA staff with mailings and other assigned duties.
  • Keep the front desk and lobby area clean and presentable for guests.
  • Check bathrooms regularly for cleanliness.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • High standard of professionalism.
  • Punctual, reliable, and available to work weekends and some evenings.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
