About The Position

The Visitor Experience Associate (VEA) at the Harley-Davidson Museum serves as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience. This part-time role involves day-to-day operations, customer service, sales transactions, and imparting knowledge about the museum's offerings. The VEA plays a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for visitors while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required (must be 18 years or older).
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a retail environment.
• General knowledge of computer operations and experience with POS systems.
• Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.

Nice To Haves

• Some knowledge of Harley-Davidson history and brand is a plus.
• Sales skills that contribute to achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to all museum visitors both in person and over the phone.
• Conduct sales transactions accurately using a point of sale (POS) system.
• Impart knowledge about the museum and its exhibits to enhance visitor experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with various customer-facing activities and resolve visitor questions or issues.
• Demonstrate flexibility in schedule, including working weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
