About The Position

Professionally administer all incoming calls to Visitor Control. Greet guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner and register in visitor logs and databases Prepare visitor information packages for Visitor Control Specialist review and approval Create/Activate/Re-activate access badges Utilize various software programs for data entry and badge creation Create accurate memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents Scan and electronically file documents; Maintain all files in an orderly manner Perform clerical and administrative support duties as needed Issue Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required Promotes workplace safety by keeping work areas clean and free of obstructions

Requirements

  • Two-year administrative, clerical, or customer service experience required
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and occasional holidays in support of department and customer needs required
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) required
  • Ability to learn new software programs quickly
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a SECRET clearance required.
  • Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Austal USA: 18 years of age or older at time of application Able to provide proof of US Person Status No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date Willing to submit to a drug screen Willing to submit to a background check
