About The Position

We are seeking a Visitor Center Attendant for Amicalola Falls State Park. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to park visitors, offering information about the park's amenities, activities, and attractions. This role is crucial in ensuring that visitors have a positive experience while visiting the park. The Visitor Center Attendant will be the first point of contact for many visitors, and as such, must be friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to assist with any inquiries or needs that may arise. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and while previous customer service experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to interact effectively with a diverse range of visitors. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential, as the Visitor Center can become busy, especially during peak times and special events. Knowledge of the local area and the state park system will be beneficial in providing accurate information to visitors. The Visitor Center Attendant will be responsible for greeting visitors upon arrival, answering questions about park activities, events, and facilities, selling park passes, permits, and merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized visitor center. Additionally, the attendant will assist visitors with special needs or requests and collaborate with park staff to ensure a positive visitor experience. This position is based at the Visitor Center in Amicalola Falls State Park, and the role may require standing for extended periods.
