About The Position
A visiting graduate student will work in CSE's battery laboratories on the synthesis of cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries and subsequently perform X-ray synchrotron studies at the Advanced Photon Source. The objective of the visiting research is to advance the fundamental understanding of sodium-ion transport dynamics in cathode interface layers. Education and Experience Requirements The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States. Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins. Applicants must be: o Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution. o Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or o Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
Requirements
- Undergraduate-level knowledge of inorganic chemistry and electrochemistry
- Hand-on experience of battery coin-cell
