Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. or S.T.D. in Theology or a closely related field At least one year of teaching experience in college-level settings Demonstrated ability to engage and relate to students from diverse religious backgrounds, including Muslim, Animist, Buddhist, Indigenous spiritualities, and non-Catholic Christian traditions Comfort teaching ecumenical and interfaith courses designed for students from a wide range of religious backgrounds Ability to teach introductory theology and spirituality courses, such as Theological Questions and Theological Ethics Experience teaching in multiple formats (in-person, online, and hybrid) Proficiency using Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems Knowledge of ecumenical and interfaith pedagogy appropriate for introductory theology and spirituality courses Preferred Qualifications We seek creative, adaptable staff who enjoy working in a university climate that promotes multicultural understanding and cultural fluency, consistent with the University’s mission and values.
