The Department of Operations and Management at the University of Wisconsin-Stout invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position, for a three-year renewable contract, to join us on January 1, 2026. We are seeking two dedicated industry-based educators in construction that demonstrate leadership and utilize experiential, applied-learning instructional techniques. The successful candidate will become part of an innovative and supportive community that prioritizes an executive-based learning model in teaching with active student engagement. As a polytechnic university, we emphasize experiential learning by providing students with authentic as well as hands-on experiences in both classroom, laboratory and industry settings. Our program, with over 300 students, receives substantial support from alumni and major construction firms both regionally and nationally. The primary role of this position will be teaching in construction, both traditional and hybrid courses in Estimating, Project Scheduling and Cost Control, Light Construction Methods and Materials, and Architectural Graphics. Expected scholarly and service activities include advisement of students in undergraduate programs, tracking program learning outcomes, serving on the program team, and advising relevant student organizations or competition teams.
