Reporting to the Chair of Art, Communication and Theatre Arts, this position is both instructional and administrative in nature. The instructional portion of the position includes teaching three sections each semester as assigned by the Chair and Dean. Courses may include Basic Art, Digital Photography Beginning Drawing, and Introduction to the Visual Arts. Depending on student demand, more advanced art courses may be taught in-load. Office hours per the University policies are also an expectation. The administrative portion of the position includes maintenance of the Bernice Coulter Templeton Art Gallery website; coordination of meetings, classes and events held in the Gallery; serving as the safety coordinator for the Art Studio. The coordinator will also organize an exhibit in the fall semester, and an exhibit in the spring semester. The Coordinator will work with Advancement as needed to assist with any art donations to the University, and advise the archivists on matters related to the University’s permanent collection.
